Fees for students from outside EU/EEA

Sweden has application fees and tuition fees for BSc and MSc students from outside the EU/EEA area.

There are some exceptions to this general rule. EU/EEA citizens exempt from fees, but must document their status.

Please note that higher education in Sweden is still free of charge for citizens within EU and the EEA. Documentation of status is needed.

The tuition fee for BSc and Msc programmes within the IT Faculty at the University of Gothenburg has for new students arriving 2019 been set to 141 000 SEK per year and student. The fee for non-EU/EEA students is visible on the application web page for each programme.


As a fee paying international student you can apply for a scholarship.
