Computer Science and Engineering

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has approximately 260 employees, engaged in education and research in disciplines ranging from basic research to applications. We educate for the future, and create added value for a sustainable society through our research, which is brought to life and implemented in close cooperation with industry. Our department has a strong international character, and is jointly hosted by Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg.

We offer a large range of courses on undergraduate and postgraduate levels at both universities.

  • Sustainability and humanity in focus at C&SE Hackathon 2019

    [24 Jun 2019] Between May 10 - 12 our students participated in the Computer & Software Engineering (C&SE) Hackathon 2019. A total of 33 students from various programs, such as Software Engineering and Management, Computer Science, Applied Data Science got together in teams to work together with organizations such as Ericsson, OpenHack and Västtrafik to develop solutions under the themes of "sustainable and smart cities" and "coding for humanity".
