Computer Science and Engineering

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has approximately 260 employees, engaged in education and research in disciplines ranging from basic research to applications. We educate for the future, and create added value for a sustainable society through our research, which is brought to life and implemented in close cooperation with industry. Our department has a strong international character, and is jointly hosted by Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg.

We offer a large range of courses on undergraduate and postgraduate levels at both universities.

    [3 Dec 2019] Thorsten Berger, associate professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, is appointed Wallenberg Academy Fellow for his work on the next-generation version control systems for continuous software development.

  • CSE students show the invisible at Universeum

    [21 Nov 2019] 60 students from two of CSE's master programmes presented their projects to 4,500 visitors at the Universeum during the exhibition "Showing the Invisible" on October 25-26, 2019.
